WOMEN in MEasurement, Automation & Control (WIMAC)

Women in Measurement, Automation & Control (WiMAC), a new InstMC network for women, was established in September 2023. The aim of the group is to raise the profile of women engineers through discussion and engagement across a range of topics and activities including:

Leadership, Professional Development, Mentoring, Outreach, Advocacy, Support, Technical Knowledge, Diversity, Public Speaking and much more!

WiMAC CHAIR: Claire jones

Claire Jones works as an Application Consultant for Endress+Hauser, a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering. Simply put, they make things that measure things, as well as providing the problem-solving skills and people power to help their customers.

Part of her role at Endress+Hauser is to head up their Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) in the UK. WIN is a global company initiative with a mission not only to empower and connect the women of Endress+Hauser, but to drive equality and positive change within the organisation and the industry as a whole.

Claire decided to lead the group to help give women a platform and a voice. The WIN team have made a positive impact on Endress+Hauser by introducing and updating policies, enhancing training and developing recruitment strategies to help level the playing field for men and women. These changes have helped to increase the number of women in the workplace by 5%. This ensures there is a broad perspective and range of experience available to the business and their customers.

Claire brings excellent knowledge and experience to the role of WiMAC Chair and we look forward to her guidance and advice in helping to grow and develop the group.

Our next meeting is planned for 1st May 2024 (4pm - 5pm) and anyone is welcome to join. Please visit the Meeting Information page for further details.
