call for mentors

Are you a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer?

Are you looking to enrich your day to day work by guiding and supporting a member of the North of Scotland InstMC group through their professional registration?

If so, you are an ideal fit to be a Mentor! Mentoring not only counts towards your own CPD record, but it is a great demonstration of leadership skills alongside your technical qualifications. The role of the mentor will be to help the candidate complete their application forms, normally during a fortnightly or monthly online call, focusing on a specific section.

The mentor will evaluate the candidates’ submissions and collaborate with them to ensure it meets the necessary standards for submission to the InstMC.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor and want more information on what is involved, please reach out to Myles Gowen MEng CEng FSEng RFSE MInstMC at NOSCPD@members-instmc.org  . He can give no obligation advice to those interested in learning more. Similarly, if you are a prospective mentee looking to achieve chartered status, please contact Myles who can coordinate to find you the best mentor for your experience and role.
