Welcome and about us
The Qatar Section was established in 2015 and has representatives of Oil & Gas Operators and service companies from upstream and downstream of the business chain.
The objective has been to meet on a quarterly basis to communicate IMC business, a platform to discuss measurement and control topics and also importantly, a networking opportunity. The geographical reach extends to all areas within the State of Qatar.
The events have engaged local and international service providers to present us with solutions for issues facing the measurement and control industries.
The main challenge we face is a transient expat work force, which can affect the number of attendees, however events to date have demonstrated good engagement.
We have adapted to the pandemic restrictions and hosted our first online event in 2021.
Committee
The Committee consists of three positions, Chairman, Secretary and Events Co-ordinator. The positions of Secretary and Events Co-ordinator are currently vacant, due to the previous incumbents having left Qatar. The Chairman is currently Michael Scott.
