North of Scotland Local Section: Novel Technologies and Control Valve Applications

Download Event to Calendar

This week the InstMC North of Scotland section are hosting a technical presentation from GPEC Limited and IMI Critical Engineering on how novel technologies and design features address the most demanding control valve applications in a dynamic oil and gas industry.

Topic:

How novel technologies and design features address the most demanding control valve applications in a dynamic oil and gas industry.
MI CCI has invested in new technical solutions to improve overall performance and maximize service life for the most critical control valve applications.

The development involves a new Trim Concept – Metamorphic, which can be considered the next generation DRAG® that allows to address applications which are suffering from frequent trim failures due to high pressure drop, contaminated fluid and/or low flow control. Further we have developed a cavitation resistant solid Tungsten Carbide grade material for critical water/oil service applications which allow us to better address severe water injection system applications. We will also introduce our latest maintenance free and compact FET stem packing solution - EEEasy Seal which meets highest industry standards to reduce the carbon footprint on brownfield and greenfield applications.

Speaker:

Ronny Simon - Manager - Application Engineering & Valve Doctor (IMI Critical Engineering)
Andy Woodward - Business Development Manager (GPEC Ltd)

Ronald Simon has 20 years’ experience in control and choke valve business. He has worked in IMI CCI in various positions including Project Engineering, Mgr. Design Engineering Oil & Gas and his current position is Senior Manager Application Engineering Oil & Gas for Europe.
