Synopsis:The volatility of energy prices and grid stability along with high energy tariffs and demands for sustainability and carbon footprint reductions have created an exponential demand for battery energy storage systems worldwide. An estimated 350GW of grid-related battery storage will come online by 2030. Front-of-the-Meter (FTM) users such as utilities and independent power producers require grid support and market participation, Behind-the-Meter (BTM) users such as Commercial and Industrial users need to reduce their energy costs and maximize their use of renewable energy.Join us for a presentation on what goes into a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), some of the various integration and controls challenges we face and hear about two real-world case studies. Agenda:
