"Professional registration provides a benchmark through which the public, employers and their clients can have confidence and trust that registered engineers and technicians have met globally recognised professional standards" -Engineering Council

More information on how to become Professionally Registered
To obtain professional registration individuals must already be a member of a recognised Professional Engineering Institute such as the Institute of Measurement and Control.
InstMC is licensed to award:
· Chartered Engineer (CEng)
· Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
· Engineering Technician (EngTech)
There are many reasons you may wish to consider professional registration, and you can read more about these on the Engineering Council's website here
How to apply
Once you are a member of the Institute you can apply through the “Engineering Registration” page in the members portal.
You will need to complete the forms and supply the relevant supporting documentation such as an up to date CV and organogram
Your application will be checked by our Membership team. You will then be asked to attend a professional review interview with our qualified assessors.
If you are successful, they will make the recommendation to our Professional Review Committee that you be added to the professional register.
If you have any questions about professional registration, you can contact our membership team by emailing membership@instmc.org
